Like last year, we gave our support to the Make-a-Wish France charity over the year-end period.
To begin with, on 19 November, the whole Financial Word team volunteered to participate in the Annual Charity Gala organised to celebrate 10 years of making wishes come true. The event hosted by Arnaud Tsamère included an auction (which beat targets) raising funds to continue helping seriously ill 3 - 17 year olds.
Natalie Portman, who is the charity’s sponsor, joined hundreds of other guests for a gastronomic dinner arranged by the leading chef Guy Krenzer from the award-winning Lenôtre catering firm.
We are very proud to have participated in the Gala’s success!
Then at the end of December, we gave further financial support to help the charity make 7-year old Souhil’s wish for a new bedroom come true.
We were delighted to have contributed to Souhil’s happiness and, just like with Gautier last year, we were rewarded by the beaming smile on his face!
Along with the discovery of a new bed, desk and other accessories, the little boy’s magic day was made all the more memorable by a family trip to Pessac zoo, which included feeding the wolves under the watchful eye of the Head zookeeper.
During the festive season, we also maintained our financial aid to the Children Action charity, which we have been supporting for several years now, by ordering their greeting cards and volunteering to translate and proofread the annual report.
