As we announced in our Financial Word autumn update, we revamped our Petits Sourires year-end campaign and are proud to have helped two associations which both provide support for children in need.
Firstly, we decided to help Make-a-Wish France, a charity which makes dreams come true for sick children. Among the huge variety of imaginative wishes expressed by the children, we chose to sponsor 13 year-old Gauthier’s dream to encounter wild animals from the Savannah.
On the 14th of December, Gauthier and his family spent the week-end at Beauval zoo in central France.
The trip included a stay in a luxury hotel, discovering the zoo’s hidden treasures and many other surprises. Gauthier accompanied the zookeepers on their rounds and enjoyed the opportunity of cuddling or feeding many animals including lions, koalas, reptiles, giraffes and elephants. Needless to say, he also took home an assortment of souvenirs from the gift shop!
For the full story on Gauthier’s wish come true, please consult the Make-a-Wish France website (French version):http://www.makeawishfrance.org/gauthier-rencontre-les-animaux-de-la-savane_cd1_357.html
We are delighted to have helped Gauthier’s wish come true and to see the smile on his face, which speaks volumes about how much he enjoyed his trip!
Also as part of our 2014 Petits Sourires year-end campaign we gave financial support to Children Action, a Swiss foundation helping underprivileged children worldwide, buying their greetings cards to send to our clients.
We had already supported Children Action in April when we volunteered to proof-read and control the quality of the foundation’s 2013 annual report.
By supporting these two charities, Financial Word has confirmed its lasting commitment to children in need.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2015. Our New Year’s resolution is to ensure that we maintain the same level of excellence in our services, which we hope satisfied you during 2014, and to continue to meet your individual translation needs.
